On your wedding day, my wife Becky and I will arrive at the agreed-upon location an hour before photos are to begin. The location might be a home, a church, a hotel or an outdoor garden. We bring our studio to you on your wedding day. We set up a beautiful, handpainted backdrop, some soft lighting and do a separate sitting for the bride, bridesmaids and family just prior to the ceremony. This could include the bride reflecting in the mirror, donning the veil and laughing with bridesmaids. Becky can take any “get ready” shots that may be taken modestly, with the bride’s permission.

     

       

The next photographs take place at the ceremony site. We will then take photographs of the groom, his parents and groomsmen. We always consult with the member of the clergy performing the ceremony to coordinate the setup of respectful ceremony photography. When permitted by the clergy, Bill will be positioned at the front of the church in order to get the best photographs possible while remaining out of view of the guests, making little or no impact on the ceremony itself while Becky remains in the back of the church to capture candid shots with the bride getting out of the limo, bridesmaids lining up, the bride and her father or escort and shots taken from a balcony.

 

 

Following the ceremony, the bride and groom exit the church. This is one of our favorite times to take emotional, candid photos, since emotions are strong following the ceremony and will show through in your photographs. Then bride and groom will then return to the altar for formal portraits, complete family portraits, bridal party and any other requests where time is available. By completing these photographs at the church, it allows you more time with your guests at your reception.

     

 

 

 

We will then leave the church and arrive at the reception to capture your moment of arrival. From this point on, Becky and I will document the entire reception. We will work with the bride and groom to make sure all events are well documented.

As the event winds down, I will approach the bride and groom and their parents to insure that no photos have been missed and that the bride and groom have had a chance to be photographed with the friends and loved ones of their choice.
